This is a blog that may interest many of you. I have several patients that successfully complete the HCG 2.0 diet and reach their ideal goal weight, but find difficulty maintaining it. I don’t mean that they immediately resort to old eating habits and immediately regain the weight, but over the course of 6 or 8  months following the diet they slowly gain 3 to 5 pounds, level off their, and despite their efforts, they can’t get rid of it. hcg diet maintenance questions

In a sense, I have this problem myself. I’m very comfortable with my weight, but in the same breath I don’t look like I did when I was in my 20s. One might say, “well Dr. Zach you’re 38, you’re not supposed to look like what you did when you were in your 20s.” I understand that, but it certainly doesn’t mean I have to be content with it. maintenance questions

I’ve been working with Lisa for several years. She initially did the prescription HCG diet with me using the more traditional HCG diet protocol. She did well and lost 20 or so pounds. Still wanting to lose an additional 15 to 20 pounds, she emailed me this summer.  I suggested that she use the homeopathic HCG diet drops this time in combination with my new HCG 2.0 diet protocol. Not only would I be saving her $300, as the prescription HCG product is $400 compared to the homeopathic HCG drops which are only $109 online ($159 with office visit included), but I explained that it’s a much simpler program,  more sustainable, and the results are identical. She still refused. She was sure that the prescription HCG product along with the traditional HCG protocol was the ONLY way to do the diet.  I persisted and guaranteed her that if she didn’t get the results that she liked I would buy her the prescription HCG product free of charge. She agreed to try it and was thrilled with the results as you can see from the email below.

Maintaining Weight Loss on HCG Diet Are You Having Trouble Maintaining Your HCG Diet Weight Loss

I’ve digressed a bit, but I simply like sharing that story. Is crow part of the HCG diet..? It’s funny. So getting back to the reason Lisa contacted me this morning is because her ideal body weight (according to her) is 117 pounds. Since completing the HCG diet this summer, she’s been teetering back-and-forth between 120 and 122, despite strictly adhering to the HCG 2.0 maintenance protocol. Again, some might be content to accept the additional pounds as a by-product of getting older, but not Lisa. So about a month ago I suggested she try a combination of Raspberry Ketones and Garcinia Cambogia. If you’ve read any of my previous blogs or seen my video explaining the two, you’ll know that they’re both very good products but work in completely different ways. The Raspberry Ketones actually have fat burning properties and target the fat you’re already storing in your thighs, belly, arms, ets. Garcinia Cambogia, on the other hand, works by inhibiting the conversion of carbohydrates to stored fat.  In Lisa’s case, I suggested a combination of both in the hopes that the Raspberry Ketones will target her stored fat helping her shed the excess pounds, while the Garcinia Cambogia will prevent her from adding unwanted fat. And, as you can see from our text message exchange it seems to be working.

I suggested that she continues taking both until she reaches her ideal weight (117 pounds) and at that point she can eliminate the raspberry keytones and use only the Garcinia Cambogia. The reason is because she won’t longer needs to burn fat, but rather inhibit the creation of new fat, which is the role of Garcinia Cambogia.

One thing I like to point out is that neither the raspberry keytones nor the Garcinia Cambogia are miracle pills. When Lisa says she sticks to the HCG 2.0 maintenance diet, I believe her. If she were eating a high carb, high sugar diet neither of these options would work for her. It’s the summation of forces that provides her success.

As I’m gearing up for summer, I think I’ll try the combination of Raspberry Ketones and Garcinia Cambogia myself. As I said before, I’m happy with my weight but in the same breath I don’t look like I did my 20s. Instead of a six pack I’ve got a four pack and a small cooler around my waste to keep them chilled. As is life, I prefer the six pack.
